How We started

Idea

Insight

Ergonomically, why do we rake autumn leaves like we sweep our kitchens, pulling a rake at a ~90 degree angle, when we could cover more surface area by shooting the leaves into a pile like we're playing lawn hockey?

That is how the LEAFr was conceived...when a five year-old grabbed his hockey stick, running around & shooting more leaves, further & faster, than he ever could sweep with a one-size-fits-all rake.

Design

Brought to life

From cardboard & glue & all the prototypes made from scraps, to refined 3D CAD designs, we went through the whole process to bring the LEAFr to life.

Version 1 is ready & we want your feedback because we still have big ideas to share.

3D printed with nylon & carbon fiber.

Attaches to any youth - adult hockey stick.

Attaches to any traditional removable metal rake head.

The flex of your hockey stick plus the flex of the rake tines can easily & accurately launch leaves into a pile without the noise of leaf blower!

Product

Manufacturing

We’ve prototyped it, tested it, tweaked it, & LEAFr'd more leaves (& ping pong balls!) than we’d like to admit!

Now we’re at the stage where we want you to experience the LEAFr.

Grab your road hockey stick & discover why the LEAFr turns yardwork into yardPLAY!

Minor hockey players and teams can engage with their communities & help neighbours clean their lawns.
